Ruger Mark III
This Saturday I got up earlier than usual so I can drive to the shooting range early. I wanted to do some handgun practice. The streets were quite empty. However, the shooting range was full of people! And I know why! In the past few years, Vancouver has lost two or three shooting ranges closer to the town. The closest one right now is 40 KM away. And this one is in danger as well. The residential housing are being built closer and closer to the range. Eventually, people will start to complain how noisy it is and demand its closure. It won't matter that the range has been there for the past half century. When that day comes, I may start to look for a job in US. I'm getting really serious on my new hobby:-)

I believe this is my most accurate handgun shooting so far. I can achieve 2 inch grouping 25 meters away, with just open iron sight! This Ruger Mark 3 standard model is my first handgun. I enjoyed it very much. Not only it's accurate, the gun is also cheap, and the ammo is cheaper!

My first hand gun is a Ruger Mark III target pistol. It's accurate, cheap, and fun to shoot. But it is really, really hard to disassemble, clean and reassemble. 22 long rifle is a very dirty ammo. I feel no choice but to completely clean it every time I shoot it. The first time I disassembled this gun, it took me more than four hours to put it back. I had way overestimated my mechanic skill and ended up going to bed 4am in the morning. The major trick is the position of its hammer. Now here's a video on youtube that explains this trick very well.
